Kariya Park Restoration

Snow Larc has been providing Landscape Architecture consulting services to the City of Mississauga since 2016. In 2019 Snow Larc was invited to provide Landscape Architecture services for the restoration of the landscape at Kariya Park.

With time, the culturally unique landscape at Kariya Park had suffered damage and required significant upgrades to ensure it remained safe and accessible to the community. Together with the City of Mississauga, Snow Larc developed a rehabilitation plan with restored landscape elements, including the custom perimeter garden walls, entrance gates, and the centrepiece pavilion surrounded by Cherry trees. The restored landscape blends seamlessly with the original, incorporating accessible entrances and restored garden structures with hidden maintenance areas and operations buildings at the rear of the park.
